Salsa

1½ Teaspoons jalapeno,
minced

2 Ripe plum tomatoes

1 Tablespoon fresh cilantro
-
2 Scallions
-
1 Clove garlic
-
1 Tablespoon lime juice
-
3 Ounces Homemade Italian
Tomato Sauce
-
1 Teaspoon sugar Salt
Finely chop
the tomatoes and place them in a bowl.
Finely mince
the garlic, cilantro and jalapeno pepper.
Add them to
the tomatoes. Thinly slice the scallions and
add to the bowl.
Add the tomato sauce, lime juice, sugar
and salt. Toss
to blend. Mash the tomatoes with a fork
until very little
lumps remain. Place in a container
fitted with
a lid. Let it sit for a few hours before
serving to blend
the flavors.
