Guilt
Free Alfredo Sauce

1½ Cups skim
milk
-
½ Teaspoon
unsalted butter
-
2 Tablespoons cornstarch
-
Grated Romano Cheese or
Parmesan
-
Salt and Freshly Ground
Black Pepper
1. In
a medium saucepan, heat the milk and butter. Add the salt, pepper and cheese.
Heat but do not boil, simmer on low heat.
2. Mix
in 3 tablespoons of the milk mixture into the cornstarch and stir until
no lumps.
3. Pour the cornstarch mixture into the
milk and stir until thickened.
