½ Pound medium
2 Tablespoons olive
1 Tablespoon lemon
2 Tablespoons fresh
3 Cloves garlic,
½ Pound fettucini
Freshly ground black pepper
a large pot of water to a rapid boil. Add the fettucini and stir.
Return the pot to a boil and continue to stir for 3 minutes. Cook
until tender (12-15 minutes).
the garlic and mash together with the salt. Continue until
you have a paste (you can use a food processor). Add the basil
and black pepper. Stir to blend.
the oil in a sauté pan. Add the shrimp and sauté until the
shrimp just turn pink. Add the garlic paste, basil and lemon juice
and sauté until shrimp curl (10 - 15 minutes).
the fettucini and return it to the pot. Add the shrimp and
garlic paste to the fettucini. Toss to coat evenly. Serve and top
with grating cheese and black pepper.
